Note: Please recognise that this is relative because all of the Star Trek shows are good. Also I have considered each as a whole which is tricky, especially with Picard where the final season was considerably better than the two that preceded. I also have to confess to not having seen a huge amount of Prodigy or the original animated series but what I’ve caught I liked. Here though, fuelled by nostalgia and with a lot of incertitude, is my ranking of Star Trek, at home where it truly belongs on TV.
